The Greene County boys track and field team competed in the 2A state qualifying meet in Treynor last Thursday, with five events punching their state tickets.
Jackson Morton will go to the state meet to compete in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles, and the shuttle hurdle relay. The other three running in the shuttle hurdle relay are Landyn Venteicher, Bryce Stalder and Nathan Black.
Black will also compete in the high jump, with Stalder going to state in the long jump.
The Class 2A state meet is this weekend at Drake Stadium with action all day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Rams placed sixth in the team standings at the district meet.
Shot put – Broc Hannan, 36’ 2.5”, 12th; Jace Wilson, 33’ 1”, 14th.
Discus – Jesse Miller, 133’ 8”, fourth; Isaac Carman, 111’ 11”, 13th.

800 meter run – Ethan Larsen, 2:15.34, 10th; Noah Hinote, 2:19.92, 13th.
1600 meter run – Logan Woodruff, 5:19.34, eighth.
